From the Desk of Mr. Darcy

"I find that a stern countenance and sensitive interior always attracts the ladies. I also surround myself with foppish friends."

and:

"Sometimes one must swallow one's pride and do what one detests, to achieve what one desires."

He's feeling generous today, it seems, with the Two for Tuesday advice. I believe that last was directed at me, and my decision to join the RWA, despite my disgust at some of their practices and attitudes. But, well, how badly do I want this writer gig? Badly.

I wondered about the foppish friend when I saw this too. Red hair?

That's Mr. Bingley! I love this version of the film, because they did a fantastic job with Mr. Darcy, but they could have made Mr. Bingley less...well, that.
